The brief

The show had outgrown its tools. The website ran on Wix, exhibitors signed up through a website form, tickets were sold on a separate platform, and the team pieced the event together from exports.

  • One sign-up form per car rather than per exhibitor, filled in again for every car
  • Tickets sold on a separate platform, away from the website
  • Exhibitor and payment data spread across CSV exports from forms, mailing and Stripe

What we built

8 pieces,
one platform.

01

A new website

Off Wix and onto a fast, custom site: the show, tours, gallery, news, sponsors and vendors. News and vendors are managed from the admin.

02

Exhibitor portal and My Garage

Exhibitors sign in, keep their cars in a virtual garage and apply to a show by picking cars from it. One account, any number of cars.

03

Approve first, pay after

Applications are reviewed before anyone pays. Approved exhibitors pay through Stripe Checkout and can add the extras set up for that event.

04

Admin dashboard

The team reviews applications car by car, assigns show zones, manages events, vendors and news, and exports what they need.

05

Reminders, waitlists and emails

Unpaid approvals get timed reminders and cancel automatically if left too long. Full events waitlist new applicants. Each step, from submitted to paid, sends its own email.

06

Sunken Lawn QR boards

Each car on the Sunken Lawn has a printed board with a QR code that opens its own page on the site. The codes can be repointed without reprinting.

07

Public ticketing

Ticket sales moved onto the site itself, through Stripe, instead of a separate platform.

08

Roles and security

Exhibitors only ever see their own data, staff and admins see what their role allows, and sign-in supports two-factor.
